Diablo

This is one crazy ass game, but it goes to show how damn good Blizzard really is, even pre 2000. Gameplay is nonstop from the get go, and takes place in a town setting, followed by a 16 level dungeon for the entire game. While there are no NPC's to control, and the plot left alot to be desired at times, it is quite remarkable how addictive this game really is. Wanting to clear one floor of the dungeon becomes clearing 5 before you have any idea how much time has really gone by. The game is loaded with great weapons, armor, magic, and artifacts, and while the character inventory is small, (Meaning alot of trips back to towm)there is something to be said to grabbing an undidentified bastard sword, or amulet (Especially when you see that it's unique!) Unlike Diablo 2, enemy attacks almost always come in swarms, which can be EXTREMELY annoying at times. However, this does make for alot more combat strategizing than can be said for most Action/RPG's of it's time. The graphics are mediochre at best, and the character level up system could have been much improved, however this is still a grade A game, and a must play for any gamer. Play this NOW if you haven't already!
