Industry Reviews The 3-5 November 1994 Symposium on Diabetic Neuropathy was held as a satellite of the 15th International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Congress in Kobe, 6-11 November 1994. Following ten plenary lectures and two educational lectures, the technical contributions are grouped topically: nerve blood flow; nerve growth factors and others; metabolism; electrophysiological measurements and correlation; and clinical trials. Among the topics are the progression of microangiopathy with neuropathic severity; a role for insulin in small sensory nerve function in man; and changes in foot loading and pressure patterns during standing of patients with diabetic neuropathy.
