Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is an enhanced re-release edition of the Greatest Hits title, boosted and more bad-assed with a new playable character (Dante's evil twin brother, Vergil, with his own unique "Dark Slayer" fighting style), the new Jester enemy, a 20% faster Turbo speed, an alternate Gold Orb save system, new and more balanced difficulty levels, Bloody Palace Mode pitting Dante against an onslaught of enemies, and Movie Mode for cutscenes.

Devil May Cry 3 unfolds an earlier chapter in Dante's history, before the original Devil May Cry, to the fateful clash between Sparda's twin sons, divided by the divergence of their chosen paths. The game increases the intensity of gameplay with a new "style" system, which adds an additional level of depth. Depending on preference, players can choose to use short-range, long-range, defensive or evasive play styles.

Special Features

New playable character – play as Dante's evil twin brother, Vergil, with his own unique "Dark Slayer" fighting style

New "Jester" enemy – previously featured only in cut scenes, Jester has been implemented as a new boss character

Turbo Option – this new feature boosts the game speed by 20%

New gold orb system – continue unlimited times and use gold orbs to resume from the same spot or replay from the last checkpoint if there are no gold orbs left

Adjusted difficulty levels offer more balanced gameplay as players choose from five options including a new Very Hard mode

Bloody Palace Mode – Dante is pitted against an onslaught of enemies in this survival mode

Movie Mode – Unlocked cut scenes can be viewed either one at a time or all in a row

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is a must have for all DMC fans. If you own or played the regular DMC3: Dante's Awakening you're in for a big surprise in this one. In DMC 3:SE you get to play the story mode as Dante's twin brother, Vergil. There's tons of unlockables, such as costumes and more difficulty levels. And for an added bonus, if you have an original DMC 3:SE game save on your memory card you can start off with Vergil and Bloody Palace mode unlocked. There is just a ton of things in this game and if you love Dante you'll love his brother Vergil. This is a must for any and all DMC fans and all this is affordable for less then $20. What more can you ask for?
