Devil in a Kilt
I bought this book because I enjoy historic tales and stories. Particularly those that are set in ancient celtic times. Devil in a Kilt, is set in the ancient Highlands of Scotland, and portrays a MacKenzie Clan chieftan who marries a girl from an opposing clan for her supposed psychic ability. If there ever was a Duncan MacKenzie, (the chieftan portrayed in this story) he has most likely turned over in his grave several times over the portrayal of his person. The book turned out to be an all too typical fluffy romance novel. Some of the steamier scenes in the book were ill-timed, to the point of being almost inappropriate with regard to the rest of what was supposedly going on. I was also disappointed with the female character of Linnet. She was presented in the story with a wealth of potential, however she proved to be another immature, fluffy romance novel female. Overall, the book was a disappointment.
