This is an excellent book! It describes child development well. It brings into account different social, cultural, economic, and ratial groups, not just focussing on one. There are questions for those who work with kids in the margins. Examples or case studies are also given to make the reader think. Definitions are defined in the margins. This is a good resource for any family or person working with children.

This is the only way I can think of to contact ebay/half.com.
I purchased this book on January 18th from half.com and never received it.
I attempted to contact seller several times and never received a single response.
I finally filed a claim with half.com and even now, after a second claim, half.com has
not responded in any way. I still have no textbook, and I have no idea whether half.com
will ever respond.
In fairness to the other sellers, I did receive the other few books that I ordered as part of that
same order, and the other books were in the condition the sellers claimed, so I am happy with
those purchases.
Still, half.com has not responded and this is feeling very negligent on their part, as it has been 3 weeks
since the last claim was filed.

book came relatively fast but was yucked up with a ton of stickers and a little dirty. after i cleaned it and took all the stickers off it was in good condition. was an ok transaction, i'm pleased with the results

I accidentally purchased this book. I was trying to purchase another book that came with a free study guide for the same price.The book was in good condition when I received it.I wish I could have gotten out of this purchase though.I was the highest bidder. I had not purchased it yet.I just don't know how you get out of a bid yet.So I just brought it I needed it anyway.

Even though the textbook is used, it is a good quality. Also, I like that the seller shipped gently, so it had no scratches on the product. I like the seller because of those reasons.

I wanted to get my books early because Christmas break was going to start and I didn't know how long it would take for the seller to ship out the book. To my surpise the book arrived in just 2 days. Excellent book! I really love it! It is very clear and has a lot of pictures with questions and answers I bought it for my class, but I think I will keep it with me for more than one semestre.

First they sent the wrong book, (guide to the book rather than the book itself).
Ordered again, they got it right this time!!
Getting a refud for the 1st order was like pulling teeth. I think that they have a standard practice that if you dont follow up you wont get a refund.
5 emails later and about a month later got my refund.

Purchasing my book from half.com was the worst online purchasing experience I have ever had. I never received my book. The seller never returned any of my emails. I filed a claim with half.com and received in email today that they are finally reimbursing me after waiting for this book for a little over a month and a half now. I will never use half.com ever again.
