Developing the Leader Within You by John C. Maxwell (1993, Hardcover)

John Maxwell is not only a nice and sincere person (I've met him!), he's definitely the authority on leadership and leadership development. This book covers so much, that you'll become equipped with a leadership foundation that only a few ever develop. Remember, it's lonely at the top...because the bottom is so crowded. Get it, read it, apply the principals, and you'll be able to lead others and perhaps change some of those "followers" into leaders.

It was very motivational and educational. Makes you look at situations from a leaders point of view. Kinda makes you think of why people behave the way they do rather than reacting to thier behavior. I know that I will continue to refer back to it for certain situations and for motivation. Love it...Great read!

I just love John C. Maxwell! In fact, I have never read one of Maxwell's books that I did not like. His books are easy to read, understand and so enlightning!

I initially read this book in 1998 as part of a mentorship program I was involved with. The book impacted me and helped me grow, realizing the leadership potential I had in me and giving me practical ways to develop that said potential. This time around, I purchased the book to use in a training program for the employees of my own business. I look forward to seeing its effect on all those I encourage to read it. My only complaint...it doesn't do the work for me :-)

Gently used. Highlighted areas that I find interesting as well. I'm trying to build my leadership skills and have heard great reviews of this book.
