Deert Blood Mexico's Maquiladoras

This is one of the only books I have actually read cover to cover in a very long time. I could not put it down. The book's topic is very disturbing so read it with caution. It is about the mass murders of women is La Ciudad Juarez in Mexico. It brings light to alot of problems with the maquiladoras and safety on the border for both Americans and Mexicans. It discusses the border issues with Texas and Mexico, the murders and also lesbian issues. There is s a lot of Spanish and English mixed in and also the language is very strong in both languages. You don't have to speak Spanish to read the book, but it will enhance your understanding if you know the phrases stuck in. Some of the descriptions are very graphic and it was really sickening to read at times. I wouldn't want to recommend it unless you know what you are getting into and can handle it. I watch this stuff on tv all the time, but this is a serious real life problem that I wasn't aware of until I read this book. The story needs to get out, and this one definately tells is very well, but since the story itself is hard to swallow, this is as well.
