Desecration, the eighth in a series of eleven by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.
Desecration is the story of the AntiChrist taking the Throne and the continuing drama of those Left Behind. You will find it a remarkable storyline and an easy read.
This book is a remarkable telling of the Mark of the Beast which many fear is not far away.
After reading the third book in the series my Opinion is that the series has gotten better with each new book.
You won't be able to put it down and you will be reaching for book # 9 in the series as fast as you finish the last page of book #8.
The best Prophecy based fiction I have ever read. I would recommend this book to all.

Desecration Antichrist Takes The Throne by Jerry B Jenkins,Tim Lahaye Left Behind Series #9
Ten years have past since Dr. Tim Le Haye & Jerry B. Jenkins first published Left Behind. It became wildly popular & they continued the story into a whole series of books. I think there are currently 12 books to the set. This is the ninth book in the series. Based on interpretation of the Book of Revelation from the Bible, Left Behind is the story of the beginning of the end of the world as we know it. I have already reviewed the first 8 books, they are:1)Left Behind, 2) The Tribulation Force, 3)Nicolae, 4)Soul Harvest, 5)Apollyon, 6)Assassins, 7)The Indwelling 8) The Mark. Desecration continues the sage of the tribulation force with it's leader Rayford Steele. The Trib force has come out in force if you will from around the world to Jerusalem to help rescue Gods chosen people. Those that did not take the mark of the beast (commonly known as 666) in book 8 The Mark, must now flee or die by the guillotine. Nicolae Carpathia has given up being a "nice guy" & is ready to enter Jerusalem , proclaim himself God & sit upon he throne. Many of his followers are hoping to take the mark right in his presence & are flocking to Jerusalem. Some interesting things occur on the temple mount. In this book God pours out His first Bowl Judgement upon those that have taken the mark of the beast. Meanwhile the chosen ones are fleeing into the wilderness as the final battle at Armageddon is prepared. The tribulation force is doing all they can to help. Good suspense & action. Occurs about 3 and 1/2 years into the Tribulation. This means our heroes are entering the time of the Great Tribulation. Nicholae has been killed and resurrected and named himself god. This starts the time of the Mark of the Beast. The Tribulation Force is still going strong despite having lost some critical members. Some new faces are introduced and one team member is viscously murdered. Jesus opens the first seal and the bearers of the Mark of the Beast are afflicted with boils that are untreatable incapaciting the GC forces. Micah, an old chacter who has been renamed by God, preaches at the Temple Mount. Nicholae desecrates the Temple and the Jews are outraged. Many flee to head to Petra, the promised place where the Jews will be safe until the Glorious Appearing of the Lord. Dramatic chase scenes and much blowing up of air vehicles, but whose'? Micah presents many miracles, including being shot at point blank range and surviving. The force sent by Nicholae to destroy Petra fails gloriously with a miracles from God. The second seal is opened and the sea turns to blood and all marine animals are killed. Many are stranded in the seas with no hope of rescue. At the end of the book Nicholae has sent his reaming air force to destroy Petra, we will not find out what happens till the next book. A real page turner - all the more so made because this book is based on Biblical prophesy.

The book holds your interest from the first to the last page. Then ends in such a way that you cannot wait to start reading the next book in the series.
I bought it because I wanted to read the complete Left Behind Series. And also because I am on a low fixed income and I cannot afford the cover price of the new books at bookstore prices. I have found very good prices and dealt with very nice people and sellers through eBay. Thank you.

DesecrationThis was 1 of the 4 books i needed to complete my set in the Left Behind series. Like all the books before and afterwards it was griping and I had a hard time putting the book down. Except for when I would fall asleep in the wee hrs of the morning negleting sleep lol. Defineatly a good read story and characters are well written.

) This one is one of the most action packed of the series. Nicolae is by far my favorite of the series, but this one is a very close second. I hate it that we lose some major characters, one of which was my personal favorite. I did feel that it was a bit more gory than the others thus far, but hey, when you are dealing with Antichrist, it's not pretty anyway! I would definitely recommend this book, along with the rest of the series to anyone! It really opens you eyes to what life will be like when God decides the time is upon us!

After THE MARK, which I found to be a little slow reading this one picked right back up the pace and was another quick read, I have enjoyed all the books and would recommend them to anyone, In this book the action seems to pick up more again and the story reads smooth, the ending of course leaves you hanging just like the others. Another must read!
