Deranged/Motel Hell - Midnite Movies Double Feature (DVD, 2002)

Great old movie Motel Hell wanted it on dvd free other movie deranged never saw it until dvd arrived not bad its the Ed Gein story
but MH is great the way they used to make horror movies simple plot no political correctness just gore and suspense with just a dash of nudity for the kiddies makes you think twice b4 stopping at the little town motel unless your into that sorta thing

Two very different films, though they go well together enough. Personally I think that "Motel Hell" would be a good double bill with "Mother's Day" and Deranged would go well with "Texas Chainsaw" or "Ed Gein", since Deranged is not a comedy
and Motel is. Motel Hell is entertaining and a bit morbid as well as funny, so any
comedy-horror fan will love it. If you like B-budget movies that are serious you may like Deranged also, it's dark and pretty well acted for such budgets and is
probably the closest film out of all the Gein inspired films that comes close to the actual story of what happened, (Texas chainsaw, Silence of the Lambs. etc..).
This is Tom Savini's first effects film I believe (he did the corpses around the table). I don't know why this is out of print, though it may be due to a short
licensing of one or both of the films. Highly recommended!

I bought this for "Motel Hell" which I saw in the cinema when it first came out in 1980. I loved the campiness of it and wanted to see it again. You can't rent this in video stores. I then watched "Deranged" and that is excellent too! Roberts Blossom is a great actor. You can't beat two horror movies for the price of one! I highly recommend!

They are just as named ! Deranged and Motel Hell ! I Bought them to have on the shelve to scare kids (Boyscouts)and future grand kids.I Like these type of older movies that are scary and wierd like the family secret recipe mixed in with the sausage in Motel Hell,But dont have all the nudity and foul language like the new horror movies that aren't appropriate for kids.

I use to go to the movies all the time as a kid. And I use to watch all those gory movies that dont seem so gory today. These two movies however, are actually pretty good. They really left me thinking when I left the theater as a kid. And still struck that feeling in me today. For fans of gore there worth a watch.

I like Motel Hell because I've seen it before when I was younger and it kind of scared me. It is not as gory as todays horror movies and it doesn't have the thrills today, but if you want a calm kind of scarey thriller then this is alright for you.

Deranged was a pretty good adaptation of Ed Gein. The organ playing aside it is a more realistic depiction then the revamped and added to thriller they just made called Ed Gein.

"Motel Hell" is one of my alltime favorite campy "B" movies, It had been in my Netflix queue for well over 2 years with no results.
Although I was thrilled to finally get it, the quality of the video is not up to today's standard

I have loved Motel Hell for at least 20 years!! Now that my kids are getting big enough to enjoy some of the "classics" I wanted to get this to share with them. Thank goodness for e-bay. It's the only place I could find the out-of-print DVD.
The movie is such a blast. It's crazy and silly and scary and outrageous all at the same time!

I never received the movie, sent a check, it was never cashed. Even if you require a review, I cannot write a review as I never received the item, the movie was seen many years ago by us and was very amusing at the time but as you can see I never received the item.

This was one of the most bizarre movies I'd ever seen! As a bonus, Cliff Claven is one of the main characters! Great!

I am so glad I finally found this movie!! I used to watch this movie all the time when i was younger. I have literally been on the hunt for this movie for over a decade!!

Its great, everything i expected and more!!!! It was impossible for me to find this movie i called store after store and finally i turned to the internet and i with luck and my friends at Ebay i found it!!!! i was super excited at the reasonable price and the service was great.

I remember Rory Calhoun as the western hero . I remember the ads for the movie , they were cute . Both movies are similar to Psycho , with the dead mother and a motel where the guests disappear .

I bought this DVD because I have a nephew into horror flicks and I felt the need to share some of my favorites, it was so great to get this!! The quality remastering was excellent, and the look on my nephews face as we watched this classic was priceless!! I would recomend this to any parent, aunt/ uncle who frequented the drive in's of the 70's and 80's who has a teenager thats into slasher flicks. He's now a collector, and we spend allot of time watching these great camp/horror classics together!!

I like the spoofy horror movies that are done well, srt of like a comedy/horror. Rory calhoun is such a surprie in this type of movie and he is great. The whole idea of this plot is so gross and funny. I love it! I decides to buy it so I could show it to my son and some friends that had never seen it.

Bought the movie for a friend who had been looking for it several months. Saw it myself years back and thought it was a great b-rated horror flick.

I never recieved this item, nor ever heard from the seller.I have emailed 'Rory Calhoun' 5 times, no respose. BOGUS!

As far as the quality, the movie is in great shape. I like these cult kinds of movies so I was excited to purchase both of them. The only thing I don't like is that both movies are on the same disc. Not a really big deal but, of course, it the disk is damaged or becomes unplayable, I would lose two movies instead of one.

i enjoyed these movies when i was a kid and i never heard or seen anything more about them till i went on ebay and found the two of them together so i bought them i really like the old horror classics the only down fall was that they used red paint for blood otherwise these are two great classics to have in your collection
