DEPARTURE: RECHARGED is an expanded version of Jesse McCartney's 2008 album, DEPARTURE. The teen heartthrob actor and singer's bid for artistic credibility, the album has a somewhat more R&B-fueled harder edge than the fizzy Radio Disney pop of his early albums, closer in sound and spirit to the likes of Usher, Robin Thicke, or Justin Timberlake. This expanded edition adds four new songs to the album's original 12 tracks: "Oxygen," "Crash and Burn," In My Veins," and "Body Language." Highlights include the first single, "Leavin'"; the Sean Garrett collaboration, "Rock You"; and the surprisingly effective duet with Ludacris, "How Do You Sleep?"
