Demon Days by Gorillaz (CD, May-2005, Virgin Records USA)

I ordered this item but never received the item. The seller refunded the money to my account. The seller said the item may have got lost in the mail. It took awhile for the seller to contact me about the CD due to family illness. Seller did state if I received item to simply refund the money. It's been a month, and still no CD... Other than that, the service and communication was great!! Thanx.......

I truly like every single song on this cd, and the same is true for thier 2001 self-titled release. It contains a well-blended and idiosyncratic range of musical styles: pop, rock, techno, rap, gospel, and spoken word.

I have an ecclectic sense of taste and great appreciation for any innovative, provocative, and creative endeavor...whether that be science, philosophy, art, poetry, or music does not matter. And that's exactly what the Demon Days cd is, an intelligent and enjoyable aggregate of word, sound, and vision.

If you are the type who has a limited range of interests then this may not be the music for you. However, if you consider yourself to have an independent and curious personality which enjoys experiencing the new and unpredictable, Gorillaz will take for a uniquely circuitous ride -- but only if you let them.

I bought it for just a couple of songs, but the rest grew on me. I got the CD at a discount price due to it being a promo or something, but it was same as the original.

I heard a couple of songs by the Gorillaz and thought they sounded interesting. I usually don't buy the cd unless it sounds like the whole thing will be worth it. Well I was pleasantly surprised! The entire cd is great! The thing I like the most about this band, is that each song changes into a different style that how it began.I highly recommend this cd.

I adore this album, its the best cd the Goriilaz have yet to relese. Very ecclectic, the songs vary from near rap to old school alt. rock.

I really liked this album. The gorillaz are a very talented group but unfortunately this album is not that much different from their last.

I was hoping for something a little more new and fresh but it is really just using the same style and hooks from their older stuff with a new title.

With that said.. If you like the Gorillaz then I would suggest you get this album. The same thing that could be a negative (ie, same hooks and style) could also be the positive. I really liked their last album and didnt mind this album being the way it was..

It is obvious that this album does not cater to the "bubblegum" crowd. Maybe it tries too hard. I have the vinyl version of this, which is nice because there is some really nice artwork in the package. Do not buy this album if you like to dance; instead, search for the really cool remixes of DARE, DIRTY HARRY & FEEL GOOD INC. -Johnny

I really like this album, even though I am not as big fan of rap. My favourite songs are "We are the last living souls" and of course "Fire is coming out of the monkey's head". Songs are full of sence and thoughts. I like it a lot!

I have always been a fan of Gorillaz. This album is nothing short of spectacular. Very happy I bought this album to add to the first one i also have.

i bought this album about 2 weeks ago, and i just recently given it some attention. this album isnt all that different to things ive heard before, but it DOES have its own uniqueness thats makes it different from the rest. i personally think the way it blends own skool hip hop beats with this new unorthodox sound leaves a big impression on the listener. i know it did for me! lol...and some of the artist that either help record/produce some of the tracks (i know de la soul and mf doom is on this) make it that much better. if ur a lover of hip hop and open-minded to new sounds then this album is perfect for you. TWO THIMBS UP!

That's because this album is very good.
Very, very good.
You really get the full effect of it if you listen to the whole thing in one go.

Gorillaz is an amazing band- Not only is their music catchy and well-done, but they have songs in many different styles and genres so there's a Gorillaz song for just about everyone! Being an artist myself, I'm personally a big fan of their music videos, along with the music. Jamie Hewlett is a fantastic artist and an even better animator, and for any artist watching the videos is pretty breathtaking! The included booklet comes with some great artwork for each song on the CD, all of which are fun to look at. I honestly can't think of anything I dislike about it!

Great songs, but a little too refined compared to their first CD. Too many strings for my taste - the violin and cello start to wear after a while. Still, a great mainstream hip hop CD.

I bought this CD last summer. My daughter borrowed it. She pretty much destroyed it. I loved this CD so much that I had to buy another one. I definitely wanted to keep this CD in my collection.

The CD was good bought it because of feel good inc and some other songs are good like kids with guns but most of the other songs really suck.

I love the song "Feel Good Inc." This song is why I bought the CD. The other songs are okay. The price was very good and shipping was reasonable.

Strong BASS, danceable rythmic groove. Very different and original. EURO-DISCO-RAP. A must have! For a great sample, go to Yahoo Music and search: Gorillaz.
Dare, Feelgood Inc, and track 4 are my favorites.

I'm not into hip hop or rap but I love the cd. I'm not into the top 40 stuff either so this was great to add to my collection.

I loved this!
The driveing beats and catchy lines of some tracks belay an actual message of each song.
The gorrilaz have done it again. Puting a not only entertaining album out but one that sends a message about corruption of traditional socioligy and the greed of the world. If u dont understand listen to one of the tracks on this Cd. "Fire Comeing out of a mokeys head" listen real close and ul get what Im saying.After my buddy kouji let me listen to her cd I had to buy one. Im sure ul feel the same. ITs worth every Cent!

Very good CD with many of the song not readily available on the radio. Great purchase price of $0.99 and $3.00 shipping. An unbeatable price for a 10 to 15 dollars at the CD stores. Shipping was problematic with a two week delay caused by the postal service and not the seller.
