Not really Jewish, interesting read
While today most cults make the news headlines if one of their members goes berserk or is part of a mass suicide back to eden mission, in the hayday of cults in the 60s and 70s people joined weird groups to either escape modern society or a willingness to help humanity.
This group in which the author joined was a breakaway of a Amish group run by a jewish Bible spouting apostate who little by little cut off society to his members and made their lives absolutely miserable. There's nothing jewish about this cult so I don't really know why the author chose that title, perhaps to get Jewish people to read the book; but regardless, it makes an interesting read as to how normal people can get sucked into a bizarre religious world which removes their ability to function properly. A interesting and highly recommended book.
