Dell UltraSharp E248WFP 24 inch LCD Monitor

first of all, it is not a ultrasharp. the seller misrepresented that little fact. contrast ratio is only 1000 to 1. dell had it on sale for less than i paid, but that is ok. this is a low end monitor. you get what you pay for. if you are use to cheap monitors, then you may like this one(at least the 24 inch part). i can not wait until i can afford a better monitor. i think if you do not spend at least $700 to 800, you probably are not getting much in the way of good quality. jr houston, tx a # 2407 would be a better dell.

Everyone has said how the color is a problem for this monitor. ITS NOT. All you have to do is have a mind and make the changes. It took a minute to change and made things amazing. The hd is incredible and I have it hooked up to a tv tuner and both the standard cable and HD are crisp and clear. PS3 and xbox 360 are incredible and havent tried PC yet but it will be crazy looking!!!

Shipped in time. After a month using my Dell 24" monitor I am still very happy.

I love my new Dell monitor! I have it installed on my old dinosaur Compaq Presario and it works very well even at a lower resolution. It was plug and play with no muss, no fuss, no problem!
I purchased it to replace the 17" Benq flat panel monitor I was using to update my desktop workspace. I have a Dell 37" HDTV that I'm impressed with, so purchasing this product was a no-brainer!
Now I sleep better at night and my world is full of joy and happiness!

Tons of viewing pleasure. I use this for gaming. I must say there is plenty of screen real estate. Screen does not have the smear or blur affect on fast moving images where as most LCD's do. With a little bit of fie tuning for the colors you will have an astounding display for work or play.

I bought this monitor to replace my 22" Apple studio display. My wife wanted my 22" Display because it was easier for her to see than the 17" Display on the family computer in the common area. I have the Dell attached to my G5 Tower via the DVI connector. Set up was automatic and no adjustments were necessary. The $329 price was a heck of a lot less than than the $2500 I paid for the Apple Display in 2003. It was brand new in the box and came with all the cables needed. I replaced the OEM DVI cable with a longer one from Monster Cable. The picture is true HD and makes working with photos and video a true pleasure. This my first Dell product and I'm very impressed. I can work @ my desk longer and feel more productive with this larger, brighter display. I loved my Mac Display but this one won me over Immediately. The monitor has a stable base and can be tilted on a desk on mounted on a wall. Pure pleasure!
With the prices on LCDs dropping, this is a great time to upgrade from a smaller Monitor. Your eyes will thank you every time you turn it on.

Like a sports car, this monitor doesn't come with many options like cupholders, HDMI plugin, or TV tuner. It is a barebones monitor that simply delivers quality images at a reasonable price!

This monitor is perfect for gaming, it is simple and cheap. It has all the performance qualities that you would want in a gaming monitor and it is REALLY big. Going from 17" to 24" is quite a difference.

I don't find any downsides other than you have to adjust the color settings because the stock settings are terrible.

I bought it because it was a great price. The monitor got great reviews in all of the technology sites.

My desktop typically has many programs open. The 1920x1200 max resolution is perfect to display lots of information at once. The ability to use either analog (VGA) or digital (DVI) connections is a plus-- something you don't see on some of the low-cost monitors from the "bargain" web sites. Only downside is no built-in speakers (but you can add the AS501 speaker bar).

I bought this monitor to replace my 19 inch Acer flat panel. I was amazed when I saw how sharp and clear this Dell is compared to the Acer. It really is like I bought a new, better video card, when all I did is get a new monitor. the same applications/games look so much better on this Dell it's fantastic.

Also, the 24 inch size is better than I thought it would be. It's like seeing the world with two eyes instead of one.

This is a great monitor. It has excellent clarity and sharpness. Also, I like the general appearance of the unit.

This is a high quality monitor at a great price. It may not be the high end graphic/CAD monitor that costs way more, but more than capable of high end games, photos etc...
Construction is great and see no pixel flaws on the screen.

Would say for 350.00 it is a real bargain for a 24".

My son and daughter gave it to me for father's day. I did the shopping,and it was what I wanted. It has been really a lot better than my old 15" Dell LCD.Watching DVDs has been a real treat. My new cpu will be here next week. The cpu has a tv tuner and a digital output. My computer old unit only has analog.

This Monitor is perfect for an every day normal use, works and save a bunch of money. But if you thinking about watching movies, and game stuff spend a bit more money and get something eles.

The Dell 24 inch monitor is the best monitor i have ever had.Very sharp images and easy to use.The big screen looks great when you are surfing the internet.

Dell's monitors always made me happy. the color is good, the lifespan is great, compared with some other brands, IMHO. Mostly though, i like the size of this monitor. 24 inches is big enough to indulge myself with a feeling of home-theater luxury, but not so big that i have to spend my life savings on it. price and quality are excellent. I love mine, and it makes me realize why i wouldn't be satisfied with my old 19" anymore. Now i'm selling an extra for some lucky bidder out there.

This is the largest monitor I have owned. But the quality of the picture is hard to explain... Great Product.. Thanks Again...Great Deal

The item is great. Good dell monitor in good condition. Only issue, the seller took 2 days to send, which was ok, but didn't tell me when he sent it. I like immediate feedback.
