Dell UltraSharp 2707WFP 27-inch Wide-Screen Flat Panel LCD Monitor 27 inch

After during research about flat panel monitors and the advice of friends, I decided to search Ebay for what was on the available list and found this model at what I thought was a very good price especially for the larger size. I was using an HP 19" CRT model which was heavy and taking up a lot of desk space. I was buying computers to test and it was difficult to move the monitor. The flat is light and with the tilt adjustments, it can be placed just about any place on your desk or on top of your computer for flat top models. The flat panel monitor is so much easier to view, it's easier to read and not as much eye strain. i wish that I had purchased a flat panel a lot sooner than I did. You will be amazed at the quality of the picture, when compared to a CRT screen.
I highly recommend that you make the switch as soon as you can.

A gorgeous monitor and the largest I've ever owned. Just looks great aesthetically and performs very well. Brightness is unbelievable - had to tone it down. Silver metal finish is a nice change from the normal drab black or greys. Monitor is very adjustable for something of this size. The extra USB ports and Card slots are a nice bonus. Picked this one over the 30 inch Dell because of aesthetics and because the lower resolution is perfect - no need to squint at tiny text. This 27 inch is great at 1920X1200, the 30 is 2560X1600 and it gives you more screen real estate but I think it comes at the price of your eye strain.

This is definitely Dell's most impressive flat-panel monitor to date. Aside from the INSANE 27-inches of viewing real estate 3 feet away from your face, it’s loaded with all the bells and whistles you’ll need, from multi-memory card readers to multiple USB ports down to the DVI-D port, this thing is loaded. Forget about the lack of an HDMI port, do some research and you’ll see they’re problematic. As for performance, didn’t I say that this thing ROCKS!? I threw everything at it with the highest settings in BioShock and the Crysis demo and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. All word processing applications and spreadsheets look perfect as well! I know people want to hear something negative about this monitor because no product is perfect but to be absolutely honest, there isn’t anything bad I can say about it, sorry. And the look on your guest’s faces when they see this thing will be well worth what your pay for it alone.

I LOVE this monitor!!! Not only does it have an incredibly sharp display and excellent color/clarity, but it's beautifully designed as well. You can tilt/adjust the display, raise the height, hide the cables in the built-in cable holder, the display bevel is silver, polished black glass base with chrome accents, chrome display arm on back. Monitor has built-in USB ports and memory card reader. You can't ask for more.

I love it, it is so clear and the colors are so much brighter. UltraSharp is just what it is. Owning a Dell computer I wanted a Dell Flat Panel LCD Monitor to go with it. The Price was right and I now have it with no regrets.

This monitor distorts the images - makes them squat and wide. Like a fun-house mirror. It is impossible to edit photographs. This defect should have been mentioned when the seller put it on eBay.

I use this for CAD design work using Solidworks. It is a quality monitor, with great build quality and a stunning image when using a DVI connection. I recommend it highly. Dell's newer models may have faster processing speeds, but the build quality is simply not the same.

I work on a computer about 90% of my day and decided that I should treat myself to a larger computer screen and was very pleased with the upgrade from a 14" to a 19". The Dell that I purchased has great color ability and has truely made an enormous difference in how I view doing work on my computer. The only issue that I have with the screen is that there appears to be a slight flaw on the inside of the screen that I can see occasionally when the lighting is right on when it is on certain colored screen pages...which may have been a shipping issue so I wouldn't put too much worry into that. Dell has always pleased me and I would highly recommend their products!! Nate from Indiana
