Dell UltraSharp 1800FP 18 inch LCD Monitor

The Dell Ultra Sharp 1800FP is simply the original lcd workhourse for Dell. Dell had put so much research and funding into its developement that few lcd monitors can compare even today. When you consider it was priced at $500 not long ago and in looking at todays prices it is just a outstanding value.Day in and day out PC users claim the fame to this model saying"I will never upgrade or get rid of this model" My pic as well as millions of other users highly reccomendths model.

I bought this monitor on e-Bay 2 weeks ago and I really did not know much about this monitor but I do know that Dell makes a great product I have 2 tabletop computers and 1 laptop and a Dell LCD T.V. and they are all great. I know that the new Dell products are good but this one is a older one 5 or 6 years old and this monitor is all most as good as the new ones I just love it I am so happy I won it. If anybody else is looking to get one don't worry about it being 5 or 6 years old you will be happy. It is a SUPER MONITOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always had good luck with the Dell LCDs. They have life like color and a sharp picture. I had recently purchased a new 19 inch from another manufacturer. After fighting with the color for a month I purchased this Dell 18.1 inch. Out of the other LCDs I have used, the Dells seem to have as good or better picture quality. Besides, my wife got my old Dell 17 inch LCD and this seemed to be the easiest solution.

This was a great purchase. The monitor functions flawlessly. Great colors and easy to operate comtrols. No software needed plug and play.

This is a good bright monitor.I like it for standard dvd's. Its heavy duty. Its black which matches most computers.

I bought this monitor to replace an 8 year old Phillips 109B. I have been waiting a while for this because of financial issues (LCD's retail are way out of my range). When I found this on Ebay, I jumped on it. It was being sold at a really great price and DELL is a trusted brand name.

The comparison between this monitor and my old one is night and day. I now get higher resolutions which results in much better, sharper, graphics. I also freed up a ton of space on my desk by removing the old monitor (the old flat screen box shaped monitor that weighed about 20 pounds more than this one). Setup was a breeze, simply 'plug and play'.

There's nothing I don't like about this monitor. It has exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier :)

i bought this for a friend and was honestly looking for a good deal on a product so in browsing ebay i seen this and bought it and it was a refurb and i will be honest it out performs most of the pc i have in my house lcd i thing this is a great overall product and your getting one heck of a deal when you purchase this product came in great shape no dead pixels works great very pleased

Dell monitors have been very reliable for me in the past. This monitor powered up and worked fine with my test computer upon receipt. Two weeks later when I installed it with the new processor I bought, it worked for about 2 hours and then died. It won't ever power up now.

The price was right and had free shipping, it was just as advertised and was at my door in 5 days after closing. How could you go wrong with that with the way gas prices keep going up. Shopping on E-Bay gives you affordable bargains that a person couldn't find in their area if they drove around forever.

Huge monitor for someone used to working on a 15" model. Not as crisp an image as I'd expected from an "UltraSharp". Product write-up claims, "displays brilliant images of text and graphics"… "The higher contrast ratio generates sharper, crisper lines and images"… "Premium brightness allows for brilliant images with blacker blacks and richer colors." Well, that's not what I'm seeing on this one.

Seller is honest in his descriptions of the items. If a problem presents itself after a purchase, the Seller will do what is necessary to resolve the issue in the favor of the Buyer. It is refreshing to deal with an honest individual who puts integrity in front of profit.

The monitor is perfect except for some damage it must have took own with the previous owner otherwise it has a great picture and gets the job down.

Excellent Monitor. Sharp Picture and very durable. Use these exclusivly for student computers in a Christian school. No problems even though most units are several years old

On paper, the 1800FP isn't all that impressive. In fact, compared to the competition, it ranks in the lower percentile... in terms of specifications. But of course, specifications don't account for everything. The Dell 1800FP's main knocks are that it has a response time of 25ms. It also has a rather low contrast ratio as well as average image brightness.

It's saving grace however is when the monitor is in actual use. I compared it to several other LCDs, including a Viewsonic and an NEC, and the Dell was actually much more pleasant to use.

Dell UltraSharp 1800FP (Gray) 18.1 inch LCD Monitor is the second worst item I have purchased on ebay. The condition was much worst than stated and it was not clear about a monitor with no stand. This was the secound worst item on ebay.
