Dell true mobile 2300 Wireless Router quite nice

As it comes from the factory this router is smokin fast as compared to all other brands in its arena. It is faster , reaches farther , and has far less faults.. The router handles a heavy traffic load ( wireless and wired ) better and for longer than Netgears 54 g routers and by far Linksys 54 g routers.. having used about 17 different routers over the past 5 years most home use wireless routers are small faulty boxes of over priced junk. When my sister asked me to help her purchase a cheaper used wireless router online I was not expecting nor planning on buying The Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless broadband router. It was only after I spent some time looking around in WiFi message boards and WiFi hardware review sites that I was seeing alot of reviews describing the same type of experiences I've had . However there were very few complaints about the Dell 2300 ( complaints were related to lack of functional modding / upgrading features ). Most everything I came across described an easy yet powerful product packed with a good featureful setup program ( firewall, DMZ , Ftp , port forwarding , WEP, password protection, SSID , etc.... etc....). So I spotted one up on auction in Ebay (for a good price)thought "have tried almost all the other home/office class wireless routers" put in my highest bid, and won the auction. When I first hooked it up and made the changes to the settings I like, I figured why not benchmark the Router and see if what all other people are saying holds up to be true.. Well this router performed and returned constant scores just as high as the ones seen in the reviews, and it did this for over 7 days of constant use never reset nor turned off ; the performance did not degrade or fault. The Dell 2300 really put the last wireless router "I set up for a friend" to shame, and it was a Linksys 54GS version 3. Linksys really let me down! (I use a product of Adtran for my home wireless networking needs "bit price-y") Anyway, back to the Dell 2300 router .. It is a sweet little router for an average to moderate usage enviroment giving higher quality than the competition and without costing right under $ 100.00 . I am not selling one of these routers , "just bought one and was kindly surprised with how well it functions". The one thing I will note is that this is not a good router for the more advanced upgrading user who likes to Mod / or / tweak their routers. "no detachable antenna on this one" .... But if you like the products you buy to perform well without the need to spend additional time and money on hardware that should already work seamlessly then this might just fit your needs... Run a few searches and read up on a few of the reviews and ratings on and about home/office routers. I'll just say that the high scores and ratings for the Dell 2300 wireless router ' are real and you can expect the router to live up to it; the one my sister is using does. By the way; I think I am right when I say that Dell no longer makes The router,, BUT there are sure to be some floating around for sale on Ebay.... (((( Send me a message if you know of any new tricks this Router can pull off, or any good Mod s you have done ; I'd like to know just how well it went for you)))).....
