Dell SE198WFP (Silver) LCD Monitor

At first I tought it was going to be "just a flat screen" but I was wrong. I had a big smile when the Delivery Man knocked on my door with the box in his arms. I was surprized when I openned the nifty "Dell" box. I removed the protective foam carefully only to be rewarded with joy and satisfaction as I saw the neat and sleek design of this item. I was also surprized at how large it was , I already had a 19" inch before but it was a cathodic tube type and it wasnt even close to be that big. I then ran to my room with the screen and the plugs in my hands (literaly runing) and unplugged my old screen as fast as possible then plugged this silver colored beast. Then switched it to 1440x900 85htz and fired up Quake 4 then Call Of Duty 4. I nearly fainted at how sharp the image was.

On a scale of 10 I give it a 9,9. Why 9,9? Because there wasnt any paper manual with the screen :P. In other words , a must get!

I purchased this LCD monitor because I had enough of thie monster of a monitor on my desk which took more room than necessary. I roamed the internet looking for refurbs (an excellent way to go) prefering Acer with no luck. So I setteled on a 20" Dell. The price was good,however when I got it installed I noticed my screen saver lacked true proportions. People are squatty & disproportionate.Now I now have more room on desk & it is a lot easier on the eyes.Future ones could use some improvement However I like the choice I made and would do it again.Also the folks I bought it from were a pleasure to do business with.

We Wanted to get rid of the big boxy CRT's and the 19" flat screen monitors were just what we were looking for with the store prices in hand, I went to Ebay and got 2 flat screens for the price of 1 store model.
We got a wide screen model and a standard model, The wide screen is great for previewing movies before burning them to disk and the standard is great for homework for my daughter and all the regular stuff you would use the monitor for. We will always check Ebay for our Dell models before going to the stores from now on.
