The 24" high definition moniotr gives you more screen to view versus the smaller flat screen monitors. Dell's flat screen brightness/contrast clarity is remarkable. This monitor for the price is well worth the money spent...

I love the size of this monitor, I had a 17" Dell before. This wide screen monitor is HD ready, but my PC is old and currently I cannot take advantage of this feature.
I decided to buy this 24" wide screen Dell because I believe the monitor is the most important piece of a computer system. The processor, hard drive, mouse, etc... are all important, but the one piece you are ALWAYS using when on the computer is the monitor.
I plan to upgrade my PC in the near future so I can use all the features on my Dell S2409W (Black) LCD Monitor.
I decided to buy this 24" wide screen Dell because I believe the monitor is the most important piece of a computer system. The processor, hard drive, mouse, etc... are all important, but the one piece you are ALWAYS using when on the computer is the monitor.

I am very pleased so far the picture is clear and sharp with the addition for HDMI when needed. It is a big step up from my old monitor that was dying, easy to hook up. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a clear picture for application and shape play back of DVD's with little hassle.

Nice big 24" screen, full 1920x1080 resolution, excellent response time.
I am playing Half Life 2 with this monitor, and the game runs perfectly smooth at full resolution, and looks great.
Colors are vibrant. Plenty of option for tweaking. Even the built-in speakers are decent.
I just wish it had built-in USB ports, but certainly not a big deal.

I bought this monitor to replace my 17inch Westinghouse. Even though I got it at a great price at Best Buy, I had come to despise my old monitor due to the god-awful viewing angles and a fuzziness that I could never totally get rid of.
The Dell was totally worth the money. I've had the monitor for about a month now and I love it! I DO NOT miss having to twist the monitor just so I can stare at it without getting a headache. I can view the monitor from off center very easily, colors are great, and no problems to speak of.
The only downside that I've encountered (and it's very minor) is that the power button can be easily hit since it is right on the corner of the monitor. Not really a problem if you don't plan on moving your monitor once you set it up. Would definitely recommend!

Checked out several monitors and reviews at CNET. The one I wanted was $400 - $500. This is a model below that and I'm totally satisfied and glad I didn't spend the extra money. The picture quality is 1080p which is HD and it works great with no fuzzy letters or colors. Buy it if you want a good quality computer monitor.

This monitor was so easy to set up, and the colors are brilliant. Compared to my
notebook computer its like night and day. I would highly recommend this monitor to anybody. I originally bought it because I can't see very well so my notebook is a little to small for me. But this Dell 24" LCD wide screen has made all the difference in the world to me. I can read everything 10 times better.

For my first large lcd monitor i love it. for the money an excellent monitor. i can see where some people say it loses quality from extreme angles but i can live with it. i just dont look at it from extreme angles. duh! easy setup and no problems so far.

Great monitor for an ok priceThis monitor is great, the 16:9 ratio is really large and appealing lengthwise. It also auto adjusts to your screen so you don't have to do it manually (like my old 19" CRT monitor). This monitor comes with a few color presets: Standard, Multimedia, Game, Warm, Cool, and Custom. However, I stick with Standard. Standard seems just right with the dark blacks and the light whites. I currently use a DVI port, but I hear HDMI is much better. So I tested HDMI. To me, I don't see any difference.
Pros: Nice and large, slim, easy to configure
Cons: other than whenever a screen says 22", 24", 30", or whatever.. the actual visible size is slightly smaller. Though it doesn't make a difference to the eyes, I think its 23.5+ (not sure)

I bought 2 Dell 24 inch LCD Monitors so I could use dual monitors for my PC. I've bought about 6 different monitors in the past year. 3 of them are Dell. 4 out of the last 6 monitors I purchased, worked properly. 3 of the working ones were Dells. There's definitely a quality in dell products that you can't find in those cheap off brands plus the 1080p HD display that you can get on screen is absolutely amazing visually. After messing with all those off brands and having substandard performance I would suggest to anyone who's going for affordability and quality, that you can find it all in dell computers and monitors.
