At 22 inches with a viewable area of over 20, the Dell P1230 is among the largest CRT monitors ever produced. The monitor features a Mitsubishi DIAMONDTRON monitor that uses aperture grill technology, similar to Sony’s Trinitron picture tube. The result is an image superior to shadow mask picture tubes, and far superior to anything an LCD screen can currently produce. The only drawback with this technology is two very faint horizontal lines will be visible when viewed against a light background.
So, if your desk space will allow it, get yourself one of these massive electronic marvels, and set your refresh rate to 85 HZ or more to avoid any screen flickering. Your eyes will love you for it.
