Dell E228WFP 22 inch Monitor

I got a expensive monitor with 18 pixels dead in arrival! A total nightmare to deal with. It cost me another $43.00 to sent it back and i got back another with only 4 dead pixel.
You probably say "what so bad about 4 dead pixels ?" I will probably agree with you if they are not green all the time and smack in the middle of the screen! I will not buy Dell again!

The 22' dell monitor has great clarity,although I havent used the HD that is available.Im sure the monitor would be even greater.I havent found anything I dont like about it.This monitor has great bang for the buck.The reason I choose this monitor simply,Its a dell.

I wanted to get rid of my bulky 19" crt monitor, so I chose this 22" flat panel. I am thrilled with with my choice. Just plugged it in, turned it on, and a big, beautiful picture. No fine tuning, no tweeking, auto-adjust did everything. The widescreen allows you to view a whole new experience. View multiple pages at once, full size, and watching dvd's is incredible. Excellant monitor.

This is a great monitor for the money. I've have two of them and have had no reliability issues thus far (~3 months.) However, I find myself wishing it would operate in higher resolutions.

Within an hour of making the payment I had the tracking number. Excellent response from the seller and great service. I purchased 2 monitors and worked great.

I purchased a new Dell Monitor from an individual to save a few dollars not knowing it would not be warrantied by Dell. I assumed a new monitor in an unopened box would be warrantied by Dell as long as I could provide them with a model and serial number. The monitor has a dead pixel and Dell will not replace it. The reason per Dell is that the computer and monitor both have the same service tag number from Dell and the two cannot be separated and still both be covered by the warranty. I did not get a service tag number from the seller so my only choice was to purchase 3rd party warranty policy when I purchased the monitor. If I would have done so then the monitor would have costs me more than if I had purchased it directly from Dell. Now I have a monitor with a dead pixel and no warranty to get it repaired.

Like: Size, clarity, weight, looks and function.

Dislike: It seems difficult to get the colors adjusted right. Some colors appear very accurate while others are not.

I decided to buy the Dell 22 inch Monitor because it was a great buy. I am upset about one thing. Nobody told be I had to but the attachment to have sound. Now I have a computer that does not have any sound. Does anyone know where I can find one?

As you may know already this is a 22inch LCD, Its beautiful and for lack of a better word perfect, the only drawback is the monitor stand in comes with, I personally bought another one and installed it which really proved to make this LCD even more exiting to have to the point I have bought a second one and I'm waiting for it.

For any person wanting to buy It I recommend he get a very good Video Card preferably with DVI, I have tried it with a regular integrated Video Controller and no matter how updated is your driver, you will never appreciate the beauty of the picture until you see it ridding a Nice Video Card, I installed a 256MB EGeForce 8500 GT and its beautiful.

I have recived the screen, I put out of the box,and I test with my computer.
It run ferfecty and it is in very good condition, i love the zize, the quality of display

I don't why it took me so long to buy a 22 inch screen for my computer. I was using a 15 inch screen before. My Uncle seen my computer screen and said the small monitor was going to ruin my eyes. I look at local stores, frys and Best, So knew I was going to spend anywhere in the $250-350 range. Before I bought I thought I might as well look on e-bay...I found a New Dell 22 inch wide screen for much cheaper....Great buy..should of done this years ago !!!!

It take a while to tweak it to display comfortably to my eyes; but it has plenty of possibilities that with a good graphics card you can accomplish whatever suits your fancy. "Optimum Resolution" only supports a 60Hz refresh rate, so if you are sensative to the quivvering of such a low refresh rate you will need to play with lower resolutions to obtain higher refresh rates.

Nice clear picture, size is great so you don't strain you eyes. It is all around a good monitor. Decided to buy it so I didn't have to sqwint to see it. Wish it had hook ups for like a dvd player or game system. I didn't find any on it yet but I have to check the back more.

good price and good product, thinking about buying another for my other computer because of BIG viewing area of screen.

If you're looking for an excellent value priced monitor - this is it!
From set up to using the monitor - very easy. I'm just using the analog VGA cable and the experience is still very good. I'm probably partly influenced by the fact that I went from a 15" to a 22". But still, for the price (I paid just over $200 with free shipping) you just cant beat the performance of this monitor. The sleek looks of the monitor and stand are decent too.

I just added the DVI cable. Very impressive. Clear and very detailed!
If you are using a VGA cable, you won't believe what a difference a DVI
cable makes! Still highly recommend this monitor!

This is the second one i've purchased on e-bay, and it's like having a command and control center on my desk. Ample room for video editing, and i can have tons of windows open at one time without losing track of what it is i was working on. I'm running both monitors at full digital resolution, 32 bit color, using an NVidia GeForce 7900 GT/GTO card and they work beautifully!

This is a quality Flat Panel Monitor. It is superb at the highest resolutions, not as good at lower resolutions (with my NVidia GeForce4 MX 420 Card, with your card probably different performance)

I bought it because I love my Dell Monitor at work, a 24" Flat Monitor which is simply incomparable. Recommend this product if you're looking for a reasonably priced workstation quality Flat Monitor and enjoy high resolution.
