If the majority of your time spent on the computer is text (documents and e-mail) and surfing the internet, and your old monitor is a CRT, this is a good first step into the world of LCDs. Its widescreen proportions (1680 x 1050) allow you to view two Word documents side by side. Pictures, downloaded videos and websites in general look fine. All of the text is crisp and clear. The adjustable stand makes it easy to optimize the viewing angle for your height and there is no problem viewing it in bright ambient light. The on-screen menu to adjust its settings is not the most easy to navigate but it is pretty simple to figure out. If you can get this monitor as a Dell refurb, that's the best way to get a great price and the assurance that it performs up to spec. Overall, it is a monitor worth considering. It's cheap, it's large, it's pretty darn nice for its price. BUT, it loses tons of quality due to it being so cheap. Dell is using a 6bit display on these models, less colors, banding issues and more. Great budget LCD though! Review ID: 10000000002966109 Was this review helpful? I have used many monitors in my life time and some monitors are like good friends you can always count on. I sold a computer and they want a monitor too. No problem grab a Dell. I have used an bought every monitor or screen made without the same out come on most. I have had many problems BUT not when I grab any of the Dell models. They are the screen that I put my trust in 100% and i have never been let down. GO DELL. Review ID: 10000000003486343 Was this review helpful? I have a built in planning area with wine rack where this Dell E207WFP fits in nicely. I can see it from the middle island where I prepare dinner daily. It serves as a library, television monitor, and Internet browser. I don't belive a graphics artist would find this monitor so appealing, but for the price and location it was absolutely the perfect choice for me. I give this monitor an excellent rating because it is WIDE (about 35% larger than the conventional 19" monitor) in addition to all the other great features. It supports both analog (VGA) and Digital video Interface (DVI). It has a high contract ratio of 1680x1050. This is a true flat panel monitor. It's great for all kind of entertainment (browsing, watching DVD, gaming etc..) As long as the price is right I'd say GO FOR IT, it's a great buy!
