) Got item in great time. However I currently have a computer expert trying to figure out why it's not working with a computer expert to figure out why the laptop isn't finding the harddrive. He at first told me it could be wrong part. If this is the wrong part do you stand behind exchanging it. Your discription says that it's compatible with my computer so I don't understand why it's not working.

I have had a few of these dell c640 lattitudes and they are very dependable and easily upgraded,i run a 250 gb eide hard drive in the one i use for business use and 1 gb of memory with windows xp pro, the only one thing i wished it had two 2.0 usb ports, they have one usb 1.0 port but its no problem to use a pcmcia card in the side and then you have all the usb ports you need.
the memory maxs out at 1 gb but thats plenty, the wifi card for wireless internet is easy to install,on wifi right now and its great ,just need a good wireless router like a g or n router and its got very good range.
I wished dell still made this laptop new and put two usb 2.0 ports in it.
Then it would be the cats meow for laptops.
