Dell (2000FP) 20.1 inch LCD Monitor

Love this display! It sold for over $1,000 when new, and it's native resolution of 1600x1200 is pretty darn sharp, even compared to today's LCD's! It's a little too tall for my "nook", though, so I'll have to modify the top shelf (router it) so that this display will fit inside, but it's worth it! Very crisp, fast enough, and great contrast combine to make this moniter one to definately consider!

This monitor is smooth coloring, yet sharp resolution. When I change picture colors and shading, they come out great and don't show up as different colors on my friends monitors. Very affordable with high quality. That's value.

Hello: Thanks, But and had problems with the monitor do not work not it well and given back because it throws the papers and if I can give back furthermore already buys it the power transformer cable and also give back it. I feel it but it was an evil business.

I have purchased numerous items through eBay and have ALWAYS had an excellent experience. This is the first case that I have been disappointed. I payed as soon as I purchased the monitor, and the seller went beyond his normal shipping which I thought was great! He shipped this item to Iraq for me. However, he forgot the power cord. After numerous attempts to contact him, he finally agreed to send me one. I have not recieved it yet (1 1/2 months later). I have just recently purchased a power cord on my own, something that should have been with the product. A secondary purchase that cost almost as much as the monitor. I never did hear from the seller again.

I bought it because my smaller flat panel monitor went out during a power surge. The size is my favorite feature, as well as the clarity. I tried buying an off brand and the screen seemed really faded.

This is a monitor I added to my collection because it has a good screen size and resolution, and also because it includes analog, digital, and two kinds of VCR/broadcast video inputs: composite and the higher quality S-video. This versatility might not matter if all you're going to do is park it on a PC and forget about it, but a lot of what I do involves reconfiguring things on the fly. So, it's a nearly universal display for whatever you want to throw at it. About the only negative is the wide bezel, which is an issue in the tight space I have available. The monitor is a bit heavy, but to me that means it doesn't knock over as easily. The built-in reminder message that pops up when the video input quits is a nuisance -- I'd just as soon have the thing drop right into standby without the delay, but this is trivial. The only problem I have had is that when my video card failed, it ate the digital input. The card failure also blew the circuit breaker for that half of the room, so I can't fault this monitor input for failing from an event that violent. All else still works, so the design is obviously not fragile. I don't know if I'll buy another one to get a digital input back, or opt for a newer 16:9 design, but for all around quality and versatility, I've been pleased with this one. My other favorite monitor is also a Dell, the 2405 (16:10, 1920X1200), but it costs a lot more.

I BOUGHT THIS MONITOR TWO YEARS AGO FROM AN EBAY SELLER, IT STILL WORKS WONDERFUL AND I LIKE IT ALOT, FOUR DAYS AGO MY BROTHER ASK ME TO GET HIM A 21" MONITOR, WHAT DID I RETURN TO EBAY AND PURCHACE FOR HIM ?
A DELL 2000FP, DID I TELL YOU THIS MONITOR LOOKS LIKE YOU SPENT BIG MONEY ?

I have had this monitor for over 4 years now and it is still chugging along with no issues. For the first 3 years - this was used about 8+ hrs a day and was never turned off. Now it is used about 2-3 times a week but still no issues.

Pros: Clear LCD Display, Durability, Price, Dell Support and drivers.

Cons: A bit heavy and bulky. (they have fixed this in the new models by streamlining the trim around the screen)

I would buy this again (even if they didn't streamline to make it lighter) - it just works and hasn't had any issues at all for 4+ years so how can you go wrong.
