Oh, My They Certainly Do Deliver!

This is a great campy movie. It it a little risque but no more so than movies that are made today. I have a vested interest in this movie as my son Kenji designed by hand the art set behind the dancers in the dance off scenes. He also has a solo dance under a New York Bridge with Manhattan as a backdrop. It was an exciting time for him in his younger years.
I felt that this movie was really very funny and entertaining. It was never shown in movies around the country, other than New York and LA. From what I understand it did make cable TV.
I liked how all the friends tried to pull together to do the dance contest. Whether you like break dancing or not, these kids were very talented. Watching this too, I really felt like I was back in Queens...the accents are hysterical. The locations where the film was shot are very interesting too. Definitely has a New York appeal to it.
I would say that only adults should watch this one as it is a bit racy. This film producer kind of leaned towards the edge when it came to film making.
Anyway, speaking as a proud Mama...you should check it out.
