Album Notes Additional personnel: John Michael Montgomery, Travis Tritt. Though Texan comedian Bill Engvall gained a lot of attention in the early 2000s as part of the Blue Collar Comedy tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White, and Larry the Cable Guy, he'd been making inroads in the comedy world for at least a decade prior. Like his aforementioned compatriots, Engvall combines a down-home, working-class perspective with sharp comic timing and a knack for skillfully framing everyday vignettes to achieve maximum laughs. Accordingly, A DECADE OF LAUGHS culls some of the funniest moments from 10 years' worth of Engvall albums, and finds the comedian expounding on everything from airplanes to marriage. To round things out and underscore the country-crossover aspect of Engvall's appeal, there are a few musical tracks, a couple of which feature guests Travis Tritt and John Michael Montgomery, whose vocal contributions are juxtaposed with snatches of Engvall's standup routines.
