Kevin Trudeau's Debt Cures Is an Excellent Resource
    Review created: 06/08/08

I read the book "Debt Cures" by Kevin Trudeau, and learned many things about outstanding debt. It really helped me to deal with debt collection agencies who used unfair or even illegal methods to collect on debts. Some debts are so old that the collection agency can't legally even call about them. But if a debtor makes any offer of repayment, it starts the clock ticking again.

Trudeau also mentioned that the agencies who harass debtors can be stopped simply by telling them not to call anymore and that you will send a letter backing up your request. Excellent information that can be used by anyone hounded with debt collection agencies.

He also informs in the book that filing for bankruptcy usually isn't a good option for most people and that filing probably won't stop some debt collectors from calling anyway.

I thought that he got a bit verbose at times, and found that I could merely browse and skip through some parts of the book, but even so, gleaning what I did from his book was very valuable information and worth the cost of the book.

One of the most important pieces of information he gave was information on how long each state holds debtors liable for repayment. After the time period each state specifies, the debt is no longer collectible. If a buyer has purchased an item with a credit card, chances are that the buyer paid well more than the item cost in fees and if unable to repay an entire credit card balance, they can be assured that the remaining debt is not valid after the state legislated period of time.

It is a book worth your time if you worry about debt or know someone who does. The information is valuable and useful and the cost of the book can be easily recouped if the reader has debt problems which can be solved using Kevin Trudeau's suggestions.

I havnt completed the book yet but everything so far is good information. I do wish there was a little more help about the grant info. Yes if I had it to do over again yes, I would have bought it. Debt is something that is ramped in America. I myself as a disabled Iraqi Freedom Veteran have encored a major amount of debt and have become homeless. I do have some income but it is hard to find a job in what I know with my injuries. But I am at least working on some of the strategies in "Debt Cures" to change my situation. I hope the best of luck to all. Remember "Freedom Is Not Free" But Neither is the cost of staying in Debt.

    Sincerely,

    Dan The Falcon Man
