If you are a fan of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, this is a must read! It takes place when Zed (Richard's Grandfather) was living at the Wizard's Keep. You get to see Zed in his role as the first wizard, and all the problems that come with it.
The best thing about this book is the description of how the boundary was put in place. I was always confused about this part when i was reading the series. This short story really brings it into perspective. Very good addition the series!

Prequel gives interesting background.We are introduced to one major character, Zed, some lesser ones, and given background on several plot devices. This is a quick read, not one of Terry's epic tomes, but I enjoyed it. I would recommend it to affecionados of the series and it could make an interesting introduction to tyros.
