I have read all of the Hamish MacBeth series. I think this is the one I liked the least. For some reason, I just didn't really feel as intrigued to find out who the killer was as I usually do. It felt a bit drawn out and the conclusion was a bit of a disappointment. However, if you are a die hard M.C. Beaton fan as I am you should read it anyway. It is always enjoyable to see your "friends" again in the village of Lochdubh.

) I am a true fan of Hamish so, I liked the book. I think M C Beaton books are better. Hamish is still fun and all of his crazy village friends were a wonder to meet again.

The book cover is a little ragged but the book is in excellent condition. I took the book out of the library and it has disappeared. I still wanted to read it and it was a good price.
