Sometimes Planes Don't Fly On Time

Benjamin Ford, a fifty-three-old poet turned translator, is traveling to Los Angeles to attend his estranged daughter's wedding. He has not seen his daughter since she was a baby but he remembers a promise that he made years ago. He promised that he would one day walk her down the aisle on her wedding day.
Bennie was quite surprised when he learned that his daughter was going to marry another woman. Still, he really wanted and needed to attend the ceremony.
American Airlines did not cooperate with Bennie's plans. The plane was grounded at O'Hare Airport and Benny had plenty of time to write a letter demanding his money back for the ticket. He also had time to review a lifetime of bad choices and failures. His childhood was a constant train wreck and his adult life was worse.
It was funny, sad, tragic, hilarious and much more. The good, the bad and the ugly... life goes on.
