  Dear Agony

Anyone who's enjoyed Phobia will feel right at home with this CD without getting the impression that it is Phobia 2.0. However, this CD seems to be a lot more mainstream in style than anything they have ever written before, so anyone who is a longtime fan should listen to samples before the consider getting this album.

  Excellent Rock Album
Review created: 11/17/09

The lyrics run deep, the power knocks you off your chair. The guitar riffs are crisp and clean and they accent the amazing vocals and tight rhythm section. This album had my attention from start to finish. The boys from Pennsylvania have come up with a winning set. At times reminiscent of early Bush- then the guitar sends you into the world of Fripp & King Crimson during their Red phase. No losers on this disc. Ageless & timeless. I'm 55 years old & I still cranked it up the whole way through!

Breaking Benjamin continues to crank out the sound that are known for. They continue to sound more and more polished with each release. This record is diverse and powerful.

Expected it be be great and it is!

This is a great album from a great band. As others have said the CD does sound pretty much the same as their other work but it's a good thing in my opinion. They know what works for them so why fix something if it isn't broken. As always the vocals are great, strong guitar riffs and what an amazing drummer. This CD is a must have.

Solid Record, if a Bit Formulaic
Review created: 10/02/09(updated 10/02/09)
by:

Breaking Benjamin has established themselves well from their time as an upstart band from Northeast Pennsylvania to a nationally renowned group that can tour with the likes of Seether and Three Days Grace — and hold their own. Their latest album, "Dear Agony," is everything you'd expect from the band. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as Ben Burnley and crew have remained consistent throughout their discography. "Dear Agony," however, does not add anything new to the band's repertoire. Breaking Benjamin is still building toward their masterwork, their opus. In the meantime, "Dear Agony" is a satisfying addition for fans.
