The Gurl's Guide To Life, Love, And Your Vagina
I wish to god someone had given me this book when I was about 13.
I had a mother who was fairly progressive, and I knew proper names and the entire story of the birds and the bees, but having an actual book that could explain the science behind the changes as well as the different things that your average adolescent girl copes with would have served me very well.
It's got a guide to periods, boobs, boys, and body hair as well as sexual orientation, abuse of all kinds, and relationships with family, friends, and authority.
It's a great read for anyone who is in these stages or would simply like a better explanation of what the hell exactly was "wrong" with you way back when.
As Shirley Manson put it, "It reassures you that you're not nearly as weird or strange as your family and friends tell you you are."
