From Dead to Worse by Charlaine Harris (2008, Hardcover)

This is the best Sookie book yet! The characters continue to develop into more complex beings. I would recommend reading it. It's a longer than the previous books which I really enjoyed. I think it gave the author more room to expand on the characters and handle the multi plots efficently without making you feel rushed through.

This book is not as good as her other ones in this series. It is an entertaining read, and if you are reading the series, you have to read this one too. I would have liked to see more of Eric (the vampire sheriff)interact with Sookie. (I would love to see them together again..) Although lots of other interesting things happen in this book. The next book in the series is being released this year. Can't wait to read it..This is a great series and the True Blood show is one of the best. (I would read the books first before watching the show..I read them after watching the show..if you read them first, you have some idea what is going on..)...All in all I thought it was a good book.

Not a book for the beginner of the sookie set of adventures.The author presupposes you have read all the previous books as there is very little to give the beginner a start on the plot.
No9t withstanding this. The story line moves at a good pace to get you into the latest lot of trouble sookie is in. All the regular characters who call sookie friend are there along with some old enemies.
Plenty of blood curdling fight scenes, A bit of romance, plenty of scares and of course a (relatively) happy ending. Witchcraft, warlocks Vampires, shape shifters Adulterers, murderers, Wars, They all guest in this latest episode of the Quiet life of sookie you local downhome telepath.

We purchased the book direct from the U.S. and were not disappointed. Having read all the previous books it was not hard to follow the extended plot lines. Though these could give a bit of problem to the uninitated. well worth the read and we await her next book with barely concealed impatience

I love the seris about Sookie Stackhouse,I also like the HBO True Blood show that is base on the book seris as well. Charlaine Harris is wonderful, getting the readers attention all throughout the book seris. I can never tell my friends and family enough about this seris. it is great and afforable reading for everyone.

This series is ADDICTING!!!

I needed to move on to something new after my Twilight obsession faded a bit, and I like these books ALMOST as much! (Let's face it, nothing will ever compare to a story involving Edward Cullen.)

In the Twilight series it's pretty clear that you should be rooting for Edward. In the Sookie Stackhouse series it's not as clear who you should be rooting for and there are more than two choices. What makes it harder is there are things you love and hate about all of them! (I'm torn between team Eric and team Sam, but I still have soft spots for team Bill ;) )

This was another great Charlaine Harris Book! Quick, easy read with excitement, drama and surprises at every page turn.

I loved the book. The seller was very adamant about helping me keep an eye on it, and was a very good seller.

Yep, the supes are still chillin in Bon temps. Even after battles and defeats.
I need more Eric and Sookie. luv him.

Now that I have read all 9 books in the last 5wks, I am waiting patiently for her next installment, when and if it ever comes...

Overall the Sookie Stackhouse seris is a good read, but honestly I was a little disappointed with from dead to worse. I was expecting more issues to be resolved it the story instead of drawn out explanations about every tiny detail. I'm looking forward to the need installment of the seris hopefully its better than this one

This novel in the Sookie Stackhouse series was very good. Like all of Harris's work, it kept the reader involved in the story, adding more new characters the reader can anticipate seeing in upcoming novels. The only downfall for me was that it became a little too complicated, trying to keep all of the major characters involved while building the new characters into the storyline. It will undoubtedly create an expanded foundation for upcoming novels in this series, but this one was a little too chaotic in character development and involvement for me. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the novel and look forward to her next Sookie Stackhouse release in May 2009.

I love the Charlaine Harris books about Sookie Stackhouse and her adventures with vamps and shape shifters. I have read all of the books and am anticipating the new one in 2009. I would begin with book 1 and read all the way to this one book 8 in order. The new books start off from the ending of the previous book.

I love all of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I bought this one to add to all of the rest of the books I had. Can't wait for the future installments and I hope that she will somehow make Sookie end up with Eric. :-)

Eighth sequel in the spellbinding episodes of Stookie Stackhouse and her myriad of extra-ordinary friends and cohorts in Bon Temps Louisiana. The Stachhouse series is just good fun reading! The book was in limited availability in bookstores but for some reason accessable on Ebay!

I love this series. It is way better than the HBO series "True Blood", which is based on these books.

Never a dull moment in this book, lots of action and excitement from start to finish. I enjoyed this book tremendously, although there were several sub-plots and no general plot that tied everything together, somehow it worked. All issues were dealt with and no hanging threads were left to trip on in following books.
I'm looking forward to the development of the relationship between Eric and Sookie in a future book. I never thought this unlikely pair would have been a match but again surprisingly they are.
