I found the book to be very antiquated with regards to equipment available on the modern market. However, the information is valuable to anyone shooting long range rifle. I am more of a fan of John Plaster's "Ultimate Sniper" that delves more deeply into all the aspects of sniping. But this book was more simply meant for the shooting aspect which is just one of the many parts of sniping.
Great book for it's use but look up the previously described book for more information on the art of sniping.

This is simply the best book I have seen for instruction in long range rifle fire. This book breaks the issue down into basic components and then gives step by step instruction on how to actually accomplish accuracy. So many other guides spend too much time on the theory and very little on practicle instruction, Dead On is just that, it is THE How to Guide!!!!!!!!!!!!!
