Dead Space (Xbox 360, 2008)

Deadspace is an extremely fun third-person survival horror game. It's one of the scariest games I've played in a very long time. The combat is fun, weapons can be upgraded with items you find and buy, and the replay value is pretty excellent. The story is well-paced and there are some twists that really give the story some life.

The main down-sides stem from back-tracking and an inadequate map system. You can sometimes get lost, however they did add in a pathfinder system which tells you exactly where you need to go, but when exploring on your own you will sometimes wonder if you've been somewhere already or not. Some of the zero-gravity puzzles can be a frustrating experience until you get the hang of them as well.

Overall if you are a fan of survival-horror games, or at least third-person shooters who has the stomach for a scary game, this is definitely a game you'd want to give a run.
