Synopsis Believing a serial killer to be at work in the vicinity, Grace MacBride and Annie Belinsky of Monkeewrench, a crime-gaming software company, are driving to Green Bay with a Wisconsin deputy to offer their services in targeting the culprit. But car failure strands them a short walk from the isolated Wisconsin town of Four Corners, which is entirely--and apparently, recently--devoid of people and working phones. As events unfold, the three women find themselves fleeing from a ruthless rural militia. This darkly comic mystery is the third Monkeewrench novel, written by a mother/daughter team.
