The Dead Girl (DVD, 2007)

A fabulous film with great acting and a story that grabs you from the opening and never lets go! Love it!

It takes a while to understand what is happening un this story and then it seems to come together but very loosely. You're left wondering well,what is going to happen?" to such and such character but you never see them again. This has nothing to do with performance but only the story.This is a series of stories but definatly not one of the top 10 films of 2006, as advertised on the art work.

I Love Love Love this movie, it's just sooooo good and it's too bad they didn't show more of britney's person, but i get that'swhat you get for being "the dead girl"

My sister sent me this film. She told me ahead of time it was strange.

I watched it. My reaction was "harsh but good".

We consume murder stories... I mean that is what half the movies out there are about.

This is a fresh, new way of telling the story of a murder. And its more like several vignette stories expressing how several people are peripherally involved. As well as how the grim bits and parts all fit together, and effect the people how discover them.

I was intrigued, and I will watch it again. I think that its more a movie about emotions and how we, as humans, have a sense of when evil is present. How there are all these open ended or loose facts that some how piece together to make a murder. It was very voyeuristic at times.

This is a thinkers movie. Watch it. Blessings, MR

To start with this a very low budget film.Woman finds a deead girl in the beginning of the movie.From there it examines some of the people whos lives are changed by the discovery.No great acting job to be found in this movie.Nor are you going to find any great writing.

The way the movie was layed out and ended wasnt what I expected.

This was a good movie. It was set up as mini movies about each character. I was glued to the tv. I was a bit disappointed by the ending. I would watch this movie again.

I LOVE this type of movie. Each character was so original and every segment so entertaining - it took me a while to watch it all because I kept rewinding parts to watch over again. Yes, it can be a sad movie - but it can get you hooked, too. Brittany Murphy has become one of my favorite actresses after seeing this...her portrayal of "Krista" was very moving and believable. This is one of those movies that leaves you thinking about it LONG after it's done...and to me, that's a sign of a truly good movie. Very highly recommended.

This movie wasn't that good. It's listed as a horror movie but it's not scary at all. It's a confusing movie. But if you like Brittney Murphy then you need to watch this.

I purchased this movie after viewing it on Cable TV. I was moved by it's gritty unpretentiousness, pure truth. I often wiped tears from my cheek as I realized I was watching lives unravel, I felt as though I were an unwelcome spectator at times. This movie truly represents the desperation of life, often life out of control. It's a story of women and self destructive lifestyles. Every role portrayed by each actress is superb.I will warn you - this movie is not for the faint of heart. If you want a happy ending, this is not the movie for you.
