Dead Birds (DVD, 2005)

This is another one of the horror movies that I've watched based on reviews and what others have said, and again I've been disappointed. This movie starts out very slow and pretty much stays that way throughout the whole show. The only thing that kept me interested was the extremely creepy faces of the children, otherwise I probably would have given this movie an even lower rating. If you must see this, don't expect to see a scary movie, expect to see a western/cowboy movie with 5 seconds of thrills.
This movie had the potential to be a horror movie, it had a decent cast, decent story, but it was missing all the key elements of a horror movie gore/thrills/chills. Please rent this do not buy, if you must see it! Grade: D-

I saw a review on reel.com calling this movie as a sleeper, so I decided to buy it.I'm a big fan of supernatural & horror films and was not disappointed in this one.

Great movie, It will keep you on the edge of your seat. Better to watch this at night and be ready to be scared. This movie is not good for the little one's.

One scary movie. Where did this title come from??? I don't remember seeing any birds in this movie. Just alot of scary stuff that makes you want to jump through the roof. I had this movie on bootleg and decided to get the real deal. I feel all should see this movie.

I like to watch horror movies once in while. What I liked about the movie
was it gave a bunch of detail how bank robbers were back in the 18th century. Also, how they turn on each other especially if they go live in a haunted house. This is one of the best horror movies I have seen. Other horror movies
are not anywhere as good as this one. What I did not like about the movie was
everyone that was in the haunted house died. And it did not give enough detail
how these people became bank robbers. Otherwise, it was a good movie.

For a low budget horror film this one was a very nice surprise.The movie flows evenly and is full of "Jump Out" surprises.The story is good and the acting is very good as well.The story is set in Civil War times and the story mostly takes place in and around an old plantation.I wont go into all the details which would spoil the surprises if you have not seen the movie.Anyway if you like a good horror movie that is not the same old slasher movies and one that makes you jump a few times than this is the one.Maybe it wont be remembered as a classic but it sure is a movie that will keep your interest thru out the full 91 minutes.
