Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball (Xbox, 2003)

If you can past the fact that this game is a giant collection of guilt inducing fanservice, than it isn't too bad. It's not perfect, but is fairly a decent game nonetheless.
Graphics
Very sharp and clean. All the environments are well detailed and the Girls are as well. They stay clean even when watching cutscenes and playing volleyball. Sand is even is shuffled and moved when you play.

Sound
There are songs already on the soundtrack that you'll either love or hate, but it's nice that you can make custom soundtracks by loading music from the hard drive. Sound effects and voices are there, but the characters speak only in Japanese. This may annoy some, but there are subtitles. However, they don't show during the volleyball games, so unless you're a Japanese language guru, you'll have no clue what they are saying.

GamePlay
This is very simple. There are basically just two games, the pool hopping event, that just uses one button. Then there is the volleyball game itself. Controls are easy to use and responsive. Playing volleyball takes a bit of getting used to, but isn't too hard. In fact, you only have to play it once if you want. Since you can get through a vacation without even playing any games. There are MANY items to collect and get, which will require some work. Especially if you want to get the more revealing swimsuits, but it can get boring quickly for some. The game plays the same regardless of what girl you pick to use.

OVERALL

It may not appeal to some, but it still can provide some amusement. It's really up to the player if they want to spend lots of time to aquire most of what the game has, and if your looking for something deep or very engaging, then you'll probably want to look at something else. But if you need a quick game (or a little fanservice), than this should appeal to you.

I decided to purchase this product because there are not many volleyball games ou there and it seems like a fun game. There are many things to unlock and the scenary are nice to look at.

I expected more from this game. The graphics are great but the game play is 2nd rate. If you are looking for a game based solely on the boobies this game will do just fine but if you want a challenging vollyball game you may want to look elsewhere.

This game is a fun. It is a nice volleyball game with a lot of other things to do. It has nice graphics and a lot of replay value.

Well people have you know put this game up and shot it down. i will give it some props and some shots. i would say that the graphics and some volleyball functions are cool in the way that the beautifully rendered and all half naked girls and the all right volleyball functions. the shot downs of this game is that it gets to repetitive to quickly and the whole collecting everything takes forever. but yea this is my opinion not yours if you want to spend 30 bucks on a new game or DOAXBV i would go for the new game

no nudity, slinky swim suits excellent graphics. my child thinks its great. good game great price.not a game for young children due to the swim suits age could be 15 no younger in my opinion.

I bought the Dead or alive xtreme beach Volleyball. I heard it is a fun game so i brought it. What i like about the game was you get to play volleyball with the hotest girls in the game. What i dilike about the game was you get to play only two games in the game, but it is ok. I would rate out of 1-5. I would say a mddle 4.

If your a fan of Dead or Alive the fighting game, sorry to disappoint. There's actually no fist-a-cuffs in this game at all. Apparently, only the use of all the female characters in the game is in this fun volleyball tournament style game. It's only a two player game either together or one-on-one with a computer partner. Several choices of settings to play in, shops to buy items to dress your character or gifts to bribe other characters to play with you. Rest by the pool-side & use the close-up option to view your character up close while relaxing. Or my favorite part, after winning a match or doing some tricks by the pool, you'll receive cash to play in the casino & play 5 different games (roulette, blackjack, poker, slot machines & one other) to help raise or lower your funds. Fun game, not too difficult to get into & some anime titillation for the gamers. Highly recommended as a break in between fighting games.

I think this game is very relaxing.
Of course it involves bikin outfitted women and the only purpose is to buy even more swimsuit and accessories but it is relaxing to the point that you really want to play it.

I tryied also the 2nd installment on XBOX 360 but I found too difficult so much so I ended up not playing the volleyball but the races which took away all the relaxing factor.

As this game cannot play on XBOX 360 I bought an used XBOX original and playing it there.

Now XBOX 1 is cheap and the game is cheap as well, I think I payed less than 50$ for all of it and I guess I could resell all of it for probably 40$ so all in all 10$ well spent for a few weeks of fun in the sun and mindless easy amusement.

This game is fun to play one of the dead or alive series and great game for the dead or alive collectors.

Funny skin game... not so much volleyball skill. Try and get your fellow female volley ball players to "Like you". They will then wear skimpier clothes that you buy them. Not rocket science... but speaks to my inner adolescent for sure!

DUDE, WHAT MORE IS THERE TO SAY. ALONGSIDE MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE THE GAME SHOWS YOU JUST HOW MAGNIFICENT WOMEN COULD LOOK IF THEY WERE MORE ATHLETIC, THE GRAPHICS WERE AWESOME, THE GAME PLAY IS ADDICTIVE, IT'S A MUST HAVE FOR A GAMERS LIBRARY LIKE JENGA IS FOR EVERY HOUSEHOLD.

Beautiful fluff. Playing this game, I can't imagine that Tecmo planned for DOAX Volleyball to be anything else. It does well as fluff - the girls are beautiful, the scenery is beautiful, the volleyball play is, well, definitely not the most serious gameplay you can find, which is also true about DOAX's side games - cushion-hopping and casino play. Ignore the soundtrack that comes with the game and use your own. Have fun and don't expect a huge amount from this installment in the DOA series. Definitely a no-brainer, yet gorgeous to look at, much like the DOA girls.

Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball what can you say it is a volleyball game featuring the beautiful women of the dead or alive series.The game as amazing graphics and I'm not just talking about the women either,the game is pretty basics replay is good controls are good it does a bit of time to can the hand of but once you do it is easy to play.

I could not find this video game for my girlfriend anywhere on the web, only used games. I checked ebay and they had a brand new version still in the wrapping. I gave it to my girlfriend for xmas and she has played it ever since. Thank You

It's a alright game. Not what I thought it would be. It gets boring after a while. Don't compare it to Dead or Alive the fighting game.
