DeMarini Vexxum Youth Baseball Bat

We have this bat for half season now. It is a good bat and I love it. What I like:
1. The bat has longger barrel than most bats so I believe it has bigger sweet spot.
2. Its manufacturing quality looks pretty good.
3. I believe this bat has the right length and weight for my son (32-in, 21 Oz). (He used 29 in, 22 OZ Easton X-Treme before this. He had 3 home run at farmer while he was 7. He is twelve now.) I believe length-weight ratio is the most important factor in bat selection decison.
The only thing I don't like is the sound. It won't give you a bright and crispy sound when you hit at the sweet spot.
Unfortunately almost all my son's team mates use lighter bat (-13). My son borrowed Worth Copperhead (32 in, 19 Oz) in the first 2 weeks before he received this Vexxum. He had several home runs on the Copperhead in the practices but didn't do well with his Vexxum in the practice. He still wanted to use the lighter Worth Copperhead in the games. So I got him a lighter bat, 32-in-20-Oz Mattingly. Although the Mattingly has shorter barrel than Vexxum, my son got his home run again in the first practice and is willing to use his own Mattingly in the games.
If not considering the length-weight ratio, reliability and price, my preference would be Demarini Vexxum, then Copperhead and then Mattingly. So far there is no evidence to support Vexxum but we will continue the tests and see if Vexxum a better bat.
