DeLonghi DD1000TC Coffee Maker

My only compaint is very small because it took awhile to learn how to pour withut spilling. It takes a little patience but can be done. I love the dual pots since we use a lot of coffee in our household. It's even nicer if you want to run hot water for tea or hot chocolate in one pot. The lids are color coded in case you want one pot of regular and one decaf. The permanent filters are money savers and the fine mesh works great, easy to clean too. This model also beeps when the coffee is ready. The thermal pots keep coffee hot and fresh for 5 or 6 hours at a time, also a money saver. Another economical feature is that coffee left over is easily reheated from the thermos the next day and still tastes fresh. Using the clock and timer on this model is a no brainer and I did it without needing to look at the direction book that comes with it. The design of the two pots together doesn't take a lot of space. I love DeLonghi brand pots and have a single older model they don't seem to wear out and easy to maintain. I'm glad I bought this set and will store the older model for backup because I can't imagine ever using another kind of coffee pot.

Clock and Timer do not work, sent another, it did not work either. I decided to buy it because of the dual coffee pots and timers. I like th edesign, they just don't work.

We like this coffeemaker and am very glad we bought it. We like the stainless carafes which will never break and also help keep the coffee warm. The fact that you can each have your preferred brew at the same time at breakfast is great. The only negative I can report is pouring the water into each respective reservoir is a bit messy, the openings aren't that big so expect a little spillage. Also the carafe lids turn to allow you to pour, the pour is VERY small. It takes a bit longer to pour than with any other coffeemaker Ive ever owned. But it makes great coffee. Changing the filters is easy but you need to push them well down into the metal cone or when you close the unit the filter will block the water from fully saturating the coffee, hence weak brewing. Overall a good purchase for the price. We bought it for Christmas and have used it nearly every day since, still working fine so far!

The concept of two pots combined in a single appliance has great appeal to heavy coffee drinkers such as my wife and I. We ordered the unit, and the service by the seller was good. However, our initial enthusiasm quickly soured as glaring deficiencies in the unit came to light immediatly. First of all, poorly designed carafes make it impossible to pour with-out coffee spillng. Secondly, programming the unit for delayed brewing is very dificult, much more so than any other pot that I have used. Thirdly, the right hand pot never made a full pot of coffee. Checking revealed that the water chamber on that side was leaking. Fourthly, the entire unit failed completely after about 10 days of use. Great concept, very poor execution.

Pros: Makes a fast pot of coffee. It keeps the coffee flavor fresh even the second day. We get up at different times so I love the two separate preset timers. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space. Audible signal tells you when the coffee is finished making.

Cons: The rounded design of the top of the pot makes it difficult to empty the pot. It could keep coffee hot longer. That area of my kitchen is not well lit and the inside of the reservoir is black so it's a little difficult to tell which side you are pouring the water into.

Overall: It's the best design of a dual coffee maker I found on the market currently.

Top notch... I broke the top off of one of the coffee pots a week into receiving my purchase and they replaced the top free of charge. Fantastic!!

Did not buy item, not sure why it keeps showing as a bought item and I need to leave feedback. At the top of the add in the title line it said "NEW", later at the bottom in a small description it was stated "Re-furbished. Spoke directly with seller and we agreed I would not be purchasing item, no hard feelings.

I really enjoy the convenience of brewing coffee at different programmed times. My wife starts her coffee infusion at 7:30AM and I begin at 3AM. So with two programmed pots going at different times its always ready when you need it. The permanent filter works better than paper filters. The instruction book is a little confusing. After you set the program time for each side simply press "program" then "set: for the right side and "program" two times and "set" for the left side. For instant brewing just press "on". Remembers the set program each day unless you manually change it-which is a good thing.
