DeLonghi DC59TW 12-Cup Coffee Maker

Just purchased this a few days ago so still playing around with the various features and will update this review after I have had more of a chance to work with it. I like the programmable feature which allows me to have coffee ready when I wake up in the morning. Of course, this also means there is one more clock to reset when the electricity goes out. The feature that I like the most is that it automatically shuts off after 2 hours. This could possibly keep someone from burning their house down when they go away and forget to turn off the coffee maker. It also means no more over-cooked coffee and no more wasted electricity. I tried using the permanent gold-toned filter but it is a real mess to clean and seems to produce weaker coffee using the same quantity of grounds so I took it out and now use the number 4 paper cone filters. I need to experiment with the "aroma" button using the paper filters. When I used that feature with the permanent filter was installed, it did not seem to make much difference in the taste or aroma. The machine seems to be quite well built and is easy to clean. I'm looking forward to a long happy relationship with this coffee maker.

I love the coffee pot- I've had the same one before. It did take a while to arrive here, however, the sender warned me of this
