This album is really a Ballad Album. If you are looking for mellow music this is the album for you. If you are looking for the harder rock edge as in his first 2 albums, you will be a little dissappointed. I actually bought the album for 2 of the ballads I had seen on You Tube. The album cover has nothing to do with the content in the album.

I bought this because I have been a fan of Richard Marx's music since his first album. He is a great songwriter and musician/vocalist. I hadn't kept up on his more recent works because I have lived in a more rural, country-music oriented community for the past 11 years and there's not much widespread selection at the local Wal-Mart. So Ebay was a great place to pick up a few more of his albums that I didn't have.
If you like Richard Marx, you will like this CD. My favorite songs are still the old ones but he continues to churn out overall good music. I've seen him in concert 3 times and met him briefly in the Minneapolis airport eons ago and he appears to be very dedicated to his craft. I have many good memories associated with his tunes and this album is sure to be no exception.

Preamble Alright, I haven't totally lost my mind. Yes, I am reviewing a Richard Marx cd which implies that I spent money. Just sit back, I'll tell you why. In the 80's I'll admit, I was a big fan of RM. His first two releases, Richard Marx and Repeat Offender were a joy to listen to. Even now when I pop them into my cd player, it brings back a ton of memories from the late 80's. I know, as a Richard Marx fan of 13 years I will not be the most objective reviewer of this CD. However I am writing this review, because I think Richard Marx has been overlooked lately and ignored by radio (besides his classics, like "Should have known better" and "Right here waiting").
