Far from a flagship act on Sub Pop, Love Battery nonetheless had a decent run on the renowned Seattle-based label, a stint most distinguished by its 1992 magnum opus, DAYGLO. More indebted to psychedelia than Sabbath, the group, fronted by perpetually woozy singer Ron Nine, tended to sound like a pharmaceutically wrecked Buzzcocks (particularly on "See Your Mind"), which is no surprise, since the act took its moniker from the U.K. post-punk ensemble's song of the same name.
