...and Dawn of the Dead is one of them. The problem with this Blu-Ray is the transfer; it is so good that it somewhat highlights the movie's main flaw which is lousy makeup. At the same time, it is so good that you can't even tell that the movie was made more than 30 years ago. If you know someone who has never seen this movie and would like to see it, show them the VHS version instead because they will probably laugh their a$$es off if they see this version.
This is one of my favorite George Romero movies. This transfer is as good as it gets outside the theatre. It would have been great if they would have included some of the great extras that came with earlier non-Blu Ray releases of the film. I can't give this release a great rating in spite of the picture quality. They missed a perfect opportunity to release an "Ultimate Killer Version" of the film by not incorporating the extras. Are they trying to milk the public into buying yet another version of the DVD in the future??
looking to increase my blueray collection and i saw this movie for sale for 10 bucks so i figured what the hell. i enjoyed this movie when i first watch it and i look foward to watching it for years to come.
Great Picture and sound. With the Blu-Ray DVD transfer its great watching it in HD. I the plot and acting are solid, but I really think having seen the regular dvd vs. the Blu-Ray there is no comparison. If you like the story you will love the Blu Ray version
