The best and most comprehensive of it's kind

As I approach middle age, like all golfers before me, I'm not nearly so long with my wood and irons as I used to be. And, like everyone else my age, I want to score as well, or nearly so, as I did when I was in my thirties and forties, even if it is from the middle tees rather than from the tips.
You know, we've always heard about the short game (putting, pitching, chipping) spoken of as the "scoring" game, as that part of golf least practiced by the "weekend golfer" but ironically, the part most likely to have a positive effect upon his score.
After reading this marvelous book by Dave Pelz, which covers all aspects of the the short game as mentioned above, I can tell you that everything we've heard over the years about the correlation between improving your short game and it's very happy effect on your scoring is absolutely true. I say this because, after reading Mr. Pelz's book, and following his techniques and suggestions, my score fell 4 strokes over the last 3 months and is still getting better. Now, mind you, it took dedicated study and practice to achieve this improvement but it was so worth it, so gratifying.
Dave Pelz writes in a familiar and interesting way that is readily understood by the reader and I cannot recommend his book more highly. If you want your putts to roll more accurately, your pitches to land close to the flagstick rather than short, to stop "chili-dipping" or "skulling" your chips, do yourself a favor and buy this masterpiece.
