Datel Action Replay MAX for GameBoy Advance, DS Nintendo

while it is everything i expected, its a lot of things i didnt. due to Nintendo's clear dislike of cheat devices, they put cheat blockers in many of their games, which completely disallows the use of them with the game... as such, when i bought one, i was extremely saddened to learn that it didnt work with half of my games. needless to say this makes me very angry as well. still though, on the games it does work for, it has given me more fun.

I bought this device for a birthday present for my son's 10th. It is something he has wanted because he plays a lot of Pokemon games on his GBA as well as on his DS. It is very similar to the Action Replay DS and came with a CD,(software), and a USB cable to allow upgrades through the internet. The device worked as advertised once we figured out the GBA-specific variations in the directions. The instructions say to have a FULL charge on your GBA and they mean it! The device does not seem to get any power from my PC via the USB cable and will not work with a GBA with a low charge, even when the GBA is plugged in to the charger. The device will NOT work with the new DSi as it uses the GBA slot. It also won't run using the software from the Action Replay DS and the USB cable is different as well. The web-site responds quickly and has LOTS of codes for LOTS of games. Over-all, a very useful device for gamers interested in classic GBA games.

Well, I never got mine from the seller,so instead I had to go out and buy an Action Replay,the codes are okay but they screwed up a few of my games,I wouldn't recommend it because it can screw your games up
