Book: Dashiell Hammett by Jo Hammett, et al, 2001
I like books and I really like buying books used because it stretches my entertainment dollar. Biographies have always fascinated me. Those written by family members, as this one was, may not always be objective but they offer a perspective and amount of detail that is unique to the people who knew the subject best. Mystery and crime writer Dashiell Hammett (The Thin Man) was a complex person, and a fascinating one. This book by his daughter is a good read.
