The Darkest Pleasure by Gena Showalter (2008, Paperback)

In this next installment Gena Showalter continues the journey with her infamous immortal Lords of the Underworld,and their plight to find Pandora's Box.Things are heating up in more ways for the boys as they not only have to battle the hunters to keep their secrets safe,but one by one each of them are awakening and battling with their heart.This book finds Reyes(keeper of Pain) still hopelessly besotted with Danika.But there is far more to Danika as we know from previous books,and this book reveals her importance to the Gods,revealing a grand scheme in the making.Showalter has also built on the earlier relationships from books 1&2. We see Maddox & Ashyln developing a closer bond,Lucian & Anya now a couple & the dynamics in the house seem forever changed by the arrival of the ladies.As much as the warrior Lords grumble,it has gone from a cold fortress,to the home so many of them have been without for a millennia.The finale is a showdown with Cronus that has Reyes fighting for Danika.What a man!I won't spoil the plot but he travelled around the world & beyond daring to defy the Gods for this woman.He loves her more than anything.I recommend reading the books from the beginning,as it gives the characters a beautifully laid out complexity.Can't wait to see how this will be used to full effect in upcoming books.I was hooked after the 1st one,and was delighted to find each offering different but just as much to my liking!My only down point is that I have to wait until May 2009 for the next installment of the Lords series "The Darkest Whisper" (Sabins story).

The book was shipped and arrived in excellent condtion. It help complete my collection for the series so far. I possibly will buy from the seller in the near future or maybe before that.

Fantastic series!!! IT is seductive, intense, and hard to put down. Great sci-fi romance. I would recommend to anyone who loves to read romance novels with a touch of the dark side in them!

Gena Showalter has a wonderfully sexy book series. This is the 3rd book. I can not rave enough about this book or the other 2 that come before it. JUST READ THEM, you will not be disappointed.

I thought the book was good but I liked the Darkest Kiss better. I just couldn't get into the pain thing but very interesting story.

When I find a series I like I want to reAad the whole thing so being able to getthem on eBay is a good way of doing this. The series was very good.

This Paranormal romance is very good. I like Gena Showalter writing keeps me ready it is hard for me to put the book down

Have a great selection of books. But I was disappointed in the amount of time it took to ship it. Took forever to recieve the book. Was a little more worn that the description but didn't really matter. The price including shipping was not much different than if I had purchased it new in the store.

I strongly agree with the way mllewoof descibed this book. This is the 3rd book in the demons of the underworld. I really recommend really the firts two before reading this one.
The love and devotion Reyes shows for his woman Danika had my heart clenching and holding back the tears. He endured great pain and sacrifice to have her. She on the other hand had to convince him that he was worthy of love and the touch of sexual pleasure.
This book also brought out alot of the other complexities of what these men will have to do to win the freedom from their demon's.
I cannot wait for Ashlyn to give birth and see how the end all comes together. Hopefully happy.

This is a very good book. Ti is the 3rd in the series. Have to read the other 2books. The story is great, the poeple are interesting & the problems they have are different but not ulike are own.
