I really liked these books, actually #2 the darkest kiss was the BEST OF THE 3.

AGAIN it's the group of men with powers, isolated from society........
the damsel in distress..... yada yada yada...............

but it actually plays so much better in these 3 books then in the other ones i have read previously.

A great starter to the terrific new series about Mythological warriors that were condemned with the demons that they unleashed when opening Pandora's Box. The Darkest Knight is the first book of the series. Maddox is the Keeper of Violence. He is condemned to die every night and awakens each morning knowing he would have to die again. Maddox lives with other immortal men that share similar curses. When Ashlyn Darrow comes in search of the strange men told about in local legends, hoping to get answers to her own strange ability, she is confronted by Maddox. As an attraction between the two develop, they both begin to realize that there is more at stake than their hearts.
It is a quick page-turner with action, adventure, spit-spat arguments, and leaves you begging for more, more, more.

I've read better. I like a book where I can not 2nd guess how the story will end. Unfortunately, this story line was very predictable. Character development fails it's readers misserably. Characters could have been much more colorful. All of her men seem to have the same personality traits. Concept of story is good, but again, lacking in depth of characters. These guys could be so much deeper if she would allow them to be. I see where she has attempted it, but just does not allow herself to go with it.

I like the book so far. I can't wait to finifh it. The plot is just starting to get exciting. The characters are as masculine as they are mysterious.

This book was fantastic! I couldn't put it down! I am into the vampire books etc, so the immortal thing fits into that and it was a nice change from "needing to feed" and all that stuff. It has darkness, love, sex, romance, mystery etc. It was great and I can't say it enough! I am half way thru the next book in the series and it brings all of the characters and events into it from this book. I love that too.

I loved this story which fused contemporary with the past. Astory with excellent visualizations of the character and actions.I happened on this book while checking out my ebay searches. Now I'm addicted and have read the 2 books in the stories regarding the Lords of the Underworld.
