NARRATED BY ERIC CONGER Abridged
A suspenseful thriller from John Sanford. A wealthy local, who was hated by many in the town of Bluestem, Minnesota is murdered, Bill Judd Sr.'s murder comes on the heels of two other killings and both are friends of the deceased. Detective Virgil Flowers is convinced it is someone with an axe to grind, but who? As Flowers investigates he is told by the sheriff's sister that her family has suffered financial setbacks due to the ruthlessness of Judd, but the sheriff is sure the killer is George Feur, who is also an ex-con turned preacher. Unlike the sheriff, Flowers is not convinced and keeps coming back to Judd's fabled Man on the Moon celebration where one woman died mysteriously.
Sanford writes a story that you can't put down until the end. This one is no exception. Fans rejoice!
